Festival Rules
We want everyone to have as much fun as possible at the festival. However, the rules are in place to make sure that happens! ​
1. Campers​
Campers attend the festival at their own risk. Celtic Deaf Festival is not responsible or any harm or damages unless they result from deliberate actions or serious on their part. This includes injuries or death. ​
2. The use of alcohol​
Under 18s and visibly intoxicated individuals will be not served alcohol beverages.​
3. Filming/Photography​
By attending the festival, campers agree to being photographed , filmed or recorded as part of the audience. All video, photo and audio materials captured at the festival may be used in promotional materials without restrictions on time or location, solely at the discretion of the Festival and its organisers.​
4. Tickets​

When campers buy tickets for the festival, a member of CDF team will exchange them for wristbands at the entrance. Only people with valid wristbands can enter and move around the festival area. Wristbands should not be removed, cut, torn, or damaged, or they won't be valid anymore. The Festival might ask for ID to confirm identity at the entrance. ​
5. Forbidden Items​
Any food or drink (including alcohol) in glass bottles/jars/containers. - Firearms, stun guns or self defence weapons (including pepper spray, lasers etc)- Sharp objects and close combat weapons (knives, scissors, axes, tools, chains etc). - Professional audio or video equipment including technical equipments and instruments (please contact CDF for permission first if you want to do this.- Pyrotechnics and flammable liquids, including items that may be used as possible projectiles and threaten the safety of other visitors and artists on stage.- Drones and unmanned aerial devices.​
6. Use of BBQs/Fire pits
​It is also forbidden to use BBQs and fire pits on the festival site, due to risk of damage to festival infrastructure and the natural environment of the festival site (BBQs/fire pits off the ground is permitted if approved by CDF (depending on weather).​
7. Damage/Waste and Environment Protection​
Tearing of branches, trees, destroying green surfaces, littering or discarding waste is strictly forbidden. Please use the bins provided on site.​ Campers are required to maintain order and cleanliness of the camping area.​ Campers are required to leave the camp site in the same condition as found before their arrival. ​
8. Publicity
Flyers and Posters​Distribution of flyers or posters during the festival, on festival grounds, or on the entrance corridors or streets, is not allowed. If you wish to promote your event or product, please contact CDF, who can give you the possibility to place an advertisement on the festival grounds. Promotional activities without the written permission of CDF will be legally persecuted. ​
9. Use of camping area​
Camping is allowed only on the designated camping area. Dogs at the Festival Camp site must be on a lead at all times. Please pick up dog litter and dispose in a suitable dog litter bin outside the festival site (COUNCIL BINS) (PLEASE DO NOT DOG LITTER IN FESTIVAL BINS!). ​It is allowed to bring own food and limited alcoholic beverages (500 litre max) only in plastic containers to the Festival Camp site only (it is not allowed to bring own food or beverages to the Festival marquee and food area).​
10. Use of equipment and devices​
Campers can use communal facilities on site (showers, sinks and toilets). Campers are required to use devices and equipment properly and for no other purpose but those intended - CAMPING. ​Electrical appliances (stove, fridge or any kind of cooking devices are prohibited. ​Showers and toilets must be used properly in compliance with their purpose, taking into account that sanitary facilities are intended for share use of all campers.​
11. Public order and peace in the camp
​Campers are required to respect public order and peace in the camp. Respect other people's leisure and free time.​ CDF has the right to ban entry to any camper that could potentially endanger the safety of other campers or cause problems.​
12. Consequences for failure to follow the rules
​The camper is obliged to comply with all the provisions of the listed rules of order and conduct in the Festival Camp. ​If there is evidence of non-compliance with these rules, CDF has the right to withdraw the right of camping accommodation to the campers in question without any sort of reimbursement or refund. In case of accommodation withdrawal, in accordance with these rules above, the camper must pay compensation for damage/s caused.
